I’ve only come across one person that mentioned they used Kratom.  Said they had to wean themselves off it.  Took a couple tries.  Some physical withdraw symptoms if I remember the conversation correctly.

In this thought experiment, let’s explore a world where librarian job positions are as sought after and numerous as software developer positions, while the demand for software developers remains the same. This scenario would have profound implications for various aspects of society, technology, and everyday life.

                                        1. The Role of Librarians: Librarians would become central figures in knowledge management and dissemination. They would be seen as guardians of information, responsible for organizing and preserving knowledge across various formats, including digital, physical, and virtual reality realms. With an increased focus on knowledge curation and dissemination, librarians would be in high demand to support education, research, and creativity.

                                        2. A Shift in Educational Landscape: Librarians would play a pivotal role in modern education, guiding students through vast troves of information and teaching critical thinking and information literacy skills. Schools and universities would invest more in libraries, making them dynamic hubs for learning, collaboration, and research. The curriculum would emphasize the importance of knowledge navigation, fostering a generation of individuals with well-rounded expertise in diverse subjects.

                                        3. Evolution of Social Networking: In a world where librarians hold greater significance, social networking would take a different path. Online platforms would prioritize information accuracy, credibility, and diverse perspectives. Algorithms would focus on delivering reliable knowledge rather than maximizing user engagement, leading to more informed and thoughtful discussions. Librarians might even be involved in verifying and curating content on social media platforms to combat misinformation and fake news.

                                        4. Everyday Life for the Average Person: Access to reliable information would be streamlined, making it easier for people to educate themselves about various topics. Libraries, both physical and virtual, would be accessible and welcoming community spaces, offering workshops, seminars, and cultural events. The average person would rely on librarians to navigate the vast seas of information and recommend personalized content aligned with their interests and needs.

                                        5. Impacts on the Internet: The internet would see a transformation in terms of content creation and consumption. Quality journalism, educational resources, and intellectual discourse would be more valued, leading to a flourishing of insightful content. Online platforms would prioritize content that aligns with a higher standard of accuracy and depth. Open-access initiatives would thrive, making knowledge accessible to a broader audience, thus reducing information disparities.

                                        6. Events Leading to Change in Demand for Librarians: The change in demand for librarians could have been triggered by several factors:

                                        a. The Rise of Misinformation: A significant surge in fake news and misinformation on the internet could have led to a societal realization of the importance of reliable information sources and the need for skilled librarians to verify and curate content.

                                        b. Technological Complexity: With an exponential increase in the amount of information available, people may have felt overwhelmed by the difficulty of finding accurate and relevant knowledge. This complexity would drive demand for expert librarians who can efficiently navigate this vast informational landscape.

                                        c. Epistemological Crisis: Society might have experienced a crisis of trust in experts and traditional sources of knowledge, prompting a renewed appreciation for the role of librarians as neutral guides in the pursuit of truth.

                                        d. Cultural Shift: A philosophical and cultural shift toward valuing intellectual pursuits, critical thinking, and knowledge preservation may have occurred, elevating the status of librarians in society.

                                        e. Government Initiatives: Governments might have recognized the societal value of a well-informed populace and invested in programs that promote knowledge access and librarian expertise.

Let’s continue by delving into the intricacies of how the rise of librarians would impact various professions and industries, as well as explore potential challenges and ethical considerations in this transformed world.

I’ve been doing the picture matches for both men’s and ladies’ clothing.  Been fun.  Few love, most are completely confused.  Already met a few new friends that I’m meeting in person soon, as in tomorrow, if all goes as planned.  They happen to live in the town Im passing through. 🙂

Once upon a time I had both those pages running fully interactive just to share pictures.  Well, the real estate one I was hoping to be able to sell homes, but never got a serious client from it.  But, did have lots of people commenting on the pictures.   I stopped doing both.  Lacked purpose I guess.    Don’t really remember the chain of events.

The guys seemed to like this pic.  I think it’s the thong.  Should have been part of the tag line
