I was just looking at my pictures and realized I don’t think I’ve ridden a horse on a beach yet. Maybe I can find a place that will let me take the horse swimming too.
Two different types of worry. Sometimes you feel it in your head, and sometimes it’s felt in the heart. That was a heart worry.
NAR & Home Services lost the lawsuit. Wondering how this will all play out.
IMO where the industry went wrong is propping up the listing agents, when frankly, they do the least amount of work. They should have charged a flat fee to get in the MLS, that’s just data entry. Could have offered other marketing services a la carte, drone vids, walk through vids, open house hosts/ess. Then just offered the buyer’s agent (who’s the one that actually sold the home) the commission.
A bunch of sellers now thinking they are going to be able to sell their homes and dump all the buying side commission costs on them isn’t going to fly. Most do FHA for the 3.5% down or as low as possible conventional loans. For the majority of soon to be homeowners, there’s no money there. Just lots and lots of debt.
How many years do you think it will take for people to save up their down payment, and now save up the agent’s commission too?
No fee for buy side just work for with the listing agent? No representation or assistance either. Buyers would have to search and find every house on their own and schedule each appointment separately.
Last boom saw the same thing. Sellers getting angry that their home sold in a day and the listing agent didn’t have to do any work. In a down market, they don’t do much either. Actually hold an open house or two. So…
You really could have one secretary/coordinator doing the process for dozens of sellers’ needs in a week. If the seller could do their own data entry, could even give em a discount.

Did they just form that to try to have a defense against the suit? “not in existence” that’s a big LOL. Shuffling assets under other corps in case they default? Treble damages – if they lose the appeal can they even afford to keep the doors open?
As a side note in case I wasn’t clear, I agree they are being ripped off, just not in the way they think, or have been told to think.
Most of the “top” listing agents don’t even do the MLS, they do the paperwork and have their secretary/processor enter it. They don’t do their open houses either, they get some other agent who is needs new business to do them for a chance at snatching some buyers.
This aggravates me so much. Last post on it. From the email I just got from NAR.
“This matter is not close to being final. We will appeal the liability finding because we stand by the fact that NAR rules serve the best interests of consumers, support market-driven pricing and advance business competition. We remain optimistic we will ultimately prevail. In the interim, we will ask the court to reduce the damages awarded by the jury. ”
All you should need to list your home should be an internet connection.
You “should” get price opinions, because a site like Zillow isn’t reliable. But just like the other things, that could be done a la carte’
Made me a bit sad to hear about her first. I’m not sharing the details on a forum but do think dance cards help resolve some of the issues.
Also, made me a little sad to hear about the girls trying to find what they are missing. Can only assume from my experience it’s similar just far more active than I was.
How do we zap the dance cards in as quick as possible?
My sister had a pumpkin carving party yesterday. My niece and nephew didn’t use the templates, they each came up with their own ideas and did them free form
I remembered during the carving that I had taken one art class my entire time in school. I was telling Jessica, who’s an amazing artist, about it. There was an art contest. We had to do a painting of part of a plant or flower. It had to be a very zoomed in painting on just one part of it. The part I zoomed in on was where the leaves connected to the stem. And I blew that up on the canvass. I just remember the main color being green, and I used red for the background. Then when we were all done, all the paintings were hung and the other classes came in and judged them. All of these very artsy types picked mine as the best. I didn’t think my painting was that good. I just sat in the back of the class wondering why they all liked it so much.
I didn’t carve a pumpkin, I did one year and didn’t do it again. Don’t enjoy it much. I did post a starry night painted pumpkin though and I thought I’d enjoy that. We didn’t have paint at the house though for me to try, Jess had taken all her paints with her to her house. So I just hung out, chatted and took pictures.
Jess started art classes in middle school I think. She also showed me yesterday she did a painted pumpkin once, it was of pennywise.

My costume for yesterday. Jess and I made it together years ago. We both made one. We had shirts we liked but couldn’t use anymore because of some discoloration. So we tie died them. 😀
I forgot that when I put it on. Just thought it was the perfect colors for a pumpkin carving party.

I’m very excited! Got a chunk of my trip mapped out. I’ve been watching a campground in the keys for a spot to open and I really wanted to be there for my birthday. Guess what I got this morning!!!

I have some fill in work to do to get places to stay in between reservations. But I really did love that campground. Their dog park wasn’t the greatest but they had a whole trail that ran a couple miles right outside of it that I could take the dogs for a nice walk. Nobody was back there in the early mornings so I could let them run off leash. Not sure how Chloe will do, her leg didn’t have these issues last year. But I do have an appointment to get her a leg brace hopefully that might help.
Brian, if I’ve done or said anything that hurt you over the last 2 years I’m sorry. I know how much I’ve done or said that hurt me in this process so I can only imagine how having to sit there biting your tongue to read it and not respond to correct or address has been.
I was just telling our story to a gf as to how much you helped me by holding space for me so I could work through the chakras. I referred to you as a Shaman. And then a funny thing happened. I was going all sad mermaid style on the inside thinking about the twists and turns. Then a msg from her popped. She’s was telling me how in her Reiki practice she protects her energy before working with clients and in an instant my sadness cleared.
I think my moon shield activated. Im wondering who I learned that magic trick from.

I just had a fun conversation with my niece. She’s been sexual active for a few years now so I asked her if she’s ever orgasmed with any of her partners so far. She said, not by them.
So I told her how I couldn’t at first and used to think there was something wrong with me and afraid to discuss it with anyone. Then a picture popped of Independence Hall, and it had a clock with the time at 4:22. So I had thought you were telling me when and where to meet you. So the next day I went and was there at that exact time. I waited awhile. Checked twitter and nothing. So decided to go wait in the bar that was on the corner. I had a drink and was telling in you my head where I was.
Then two pictures popped up. One for the circle “imagine” and then one that you were at a different location in the city. I did get angry for a short bit and said something like How about you imagine I was chasing you around the city and ordered a 2nd drink.
Then I got sad and started talking to you again. I was telling you regardless of what the dreams were, and how off my rocker I seemed, if we actually sat down to talk it would have been a normal conversation. I genuinely wanted to understand what was happening to me.
I left the bar and stood at the hydrengias in the garden across the street. Started wondering what the point of this was. Then decided it must be another lesson of some sort. Then decided I was going to find the beauty in everything while I was there. So I started walking around, looking at all the flowers in people’s yards, and I heard music in the distance. So I followed it and there was a street performer doing Michael Jackson numbers in the park. He was fun to watch for a bit. Then I decided it was time to go home.
The next day you posted a picture of NY I think it was. Talking about your view. It had a woman’s hand in it with a ring. And then it all snowballed and I was going through everything to see how I missed it.
I spent a good amount of time freaked out by all of it after that. Thinking I was crazy after all. Debating if I should even go. Looked at the hand in the picture looked like a heavier woman, then looked at my favorite picture and there were legs of a heavier woman in that picture too. Now I was a mess.
I was in pretty bad shape emotionally about it. Couldn’t understand any of the experiences I was haven’t or what the point was. Things just kept getting worse as far as Homelife went too.
Then something changed. I decided there still had to be a reason we were brought together for this. I figured if he had a heavier wife he’d still like me too. Then the dream with the smiling guy and his son on the balloon going up happened. I did decide that I had to leave for me, take care of me first and put myself back together. Then the dream with the two egg cells that were connected happened, and I giggled myself through the remaining days till I left for my summer at the shore.
During those last couple weeks I was still having visualizations of different scenes and animals playing.
I remember one dream though where my inner child was laying there with her eyes closed and laughing saying “what if we did the same thing he did to us, that would be funny”. I never looked up the address just knew the general area from mentions.
That was the last time I thought about that dream scene till recently when I was wondering what I could have done to prevent the melt down when I got close to CA. But now I don’t think keeping that in mind was emotionally possible. I did have my heart set on having a conversation to understand the process from more than just my perspective, and still hoped it would lead to something more. The pictures and dreams were conflicting and my mind couldn’t wrap my head around finding the beauty in the situation I was in.
I did eventually look up the address a few states away. I think that might have been when the Norman bates snap happened.
I do understand why I had the freak out down the shore now when I first saw the yearbook photo.
