Laptop Requirements for Running Local LLMs? Hello, all. I've been trying to get more hands-on with running LLMs. I've tried some models, for instance, from gpt4all, but I've been running into performance issues, such as slow run times and constant maxing out of my processors. My current system is a 2016 MacBook Pro, with a 2.6 GHz quad-core Intel Core i7, 16 GB of memory, and an Intel HD Graphics 530 with 1536 MB of VRAM. I doubt it's adequate for the task. Can anyone guide me towards what sort of requirements a system might need to run these models efficiently? I'm contemplating upgrading my system and would appreciate any advice on this. Thanks in advance!Hello, all. Productivity hacks? I’ve been thinking about using ChatGPT to help me with procrastination. For example, given a list of due dates, effort involved, psychological resistance to starting, etc., then, based on principles of productivity, generate a list of tasks. Nothing super detailed, but something like: do 1 hour of project X on this day. Anyone tried anything like this?I’ve been thinking about using ChatGPT to help me with procrastination.
