Hello, bonjour, shalom, salaam, marhaba. My name is James and I reside with my wife and children in Indiana. I am a US citizen that naturalized from Canada and have lived briefly near the Middle East and Central Eurasia.

I’m here because Brian is a breath of fresh air in the maelstrom of doom and gloom. I am a curious, continuous learner, who is trying to be a functional optimist despite a predisposition to pessimism and defeat. I am also wanting to learn AI and prompt engineering so that I can continue to provide for my family and carve out a life that allows me to be with my family. I want to write a better future, hence the handle.
