I don’t know how all this ties together but it’s the same saying they use for brides at their weddings.   Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.

            Just came across this article

Seems the farming industry would benefit from the permaculture concepts tremendously.  Moisture retention.

I have a bunch of syncs with the desert saltwater systems.  I do remember the desert fog area was my favorite when I visited the Biosphere

Just got a ding on my selfie that I took when I stumbled across an empty beach on my way to Salvation Mountain.  Salton Sea in CA.

A beautiful thing happened while I was at the Wendy’s.  As I was walking in, a Spanish speaking gentleman was inviting a homeless man up to order something for lunch.  Gave me the biggest smile.   The ran into a bit of a problem, the man was struggling to read the menu and the Spanish guy couldn’t understand him.  The order clerk didn’t understand what either of them were trying to say.  I started talking to the guy and asking him what he wanted and gave the order to the lady for the right items.   Right place right time 🙂

Had a google maps jack yesterday.   Had quite a lengthy drive ahead of me and it rerouted my path at the start to a gas station with a Wendy’s :).

You can grow your garden and make wall art by preserving the flowers.  I’ve had a thing for 3D wall art for awhile.  I don’t buy a lot of artwork but when I did they’ve all been multi-dimensional paintings for the last couple, for myself or as gifts.

The Biosphere was done in layers as well.   The tour started you in the Desert fog area and you went up from there.

One of the active imagination dreams I had was of a courtyard, the exterior wall kind of like this, but in the center of it was a a big beautiful flowing fountain.  There was a violin player standing by it and along the other edge was a park like setting

When I lived in my townhouse I came across a study by NASA recommending the types of house plants you should be using to purify the air from chemicals used in most house hold items like furniture and mattresses

I also thought about getting a few bunnies for a mini-bunny farm.  Not a lot of space needed for them, can be litter trained as well.  So if you get one you can have a little cuddle bunny and fertilizer for your garden too.

You know what else?  I think all planning boards, local, city, state etc should have at least half their members have some sort of permaculture background.  These issues have been brought up repeatedly and the people bringing it up are ignored cause they aren’t chasing the almighty dollar.   Time for that to change.

I remember back when I was first learning about symbolism.  That freaked me out too because I kept associating it with the negative meanings.  Then I started reading up on the positive aspects and the empowerment they can bring by using the “spirit” of animals.
