I have been working with technology since 1980, when I had access to a TRS 80. My first computer was a Franklin Ace 8000. We didn't think a person could fill a 20 MB HDD in those days. That Franklin Ace and an Apple 2 got me through seminary. I have been a pastor for nearly 50 years, and love technology. It is no use to fear AI. It is our job to master it, and to make it work for us. I have taught computer literacy at the community college level, taught people to use PowerPoint, Word, and the internet. Before I was a Senior Citizen, I was teaching Senior Citizens how to use computers. I have recently completed another masters degree, this one in mental health. I will soon be a LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor (about 1 year from now, God willing. I believe AI can be a great help in the ministry that I lead (Celebrate Recovery) and in my work as a Mental Health Counselor.
