I don’t see additional posts after August. I hope that the concept is not fading.
Looking at these questions, I would battle to record answers even if only doing 10 per day. How do we make this simpler, and less rigid?
I turn to the world of podcasts and interviews. If one simply took all of the interviews ever done by Naval, or Brian, or Tim Ferris for example, one could build a pretty comprehensive knowledge base of the individual.
Recording interviews with your older family members, e.g your father, may be easier for them. It would also be more free flowing and encapsulate stories. I believe that wisdom is in the story, not in brute forcing the answers. The questions can still be explored in conversations. I also feel that this approach would capture more of the essence of the person, their expressions, and mannerisms.
My question then becomes why we feel the need for such intense privacy and airgapping this. A zoom interview with local computer save is an effective way of recording if you are not worried about privacy.
Video interviews would be an even better means of preservation than voice recordings. The tools are lacking for using this right now, but this is temporary.
I am not suggesting replacement to the questions and voice recordings, I am suggesting supplementing the knowledge with possible 10 hours of interviews and stories split across multiple sessions.
