      Welcome, Shawn!

I am also interested in hopefully setting up a local model finetuned with my own data that could eventually serve as a trusted assistant. I am a total novice, so I’ll have to be very creative to get to the essence of the project without getting lost in the mountain of information that comes with this kind of project.

I would appreciate it very much if we could keep in touch. Maybe we could help each other separate the wheat from the chaff.

      Thanks,

      Cisco

        StevensW and Fiesty,

Thank you so much for the warm welcome. I am currently trying to setup GPT4All with the Hermes model. We’ll see how that goes!

Hello everyone! My name is Cisco, I am 72 years young, and I live in Mississippi.

I first encountered Brian on Jordan Peterson’s podcast, whom I had been following with enormous interest for months. Since I found myself agreeing with Brian on most everything, I started following him on X, Quora, and now Multiplex.

Having lost my wife last year, I am now starting a new phase of my life, probably the last one. So far, I have concentrated on developing a new healthier outlook, both physically and spiritually, with significant success. I have become interested on the rest of my immediate family, on cooking as a means to enhance family lunches, on photography, both as a hobby and as a way to bring to life the many boxes of images and records I have accumulated, on philosophical and psychological matters, and now on how to integrate Brian’s Intelligence Amplifier / Wisdom Keeper ideas into my life.

Even though I retired after many years of being a self-made one-man IT support guy for some medical clinics, I am quite illiterate on most of the areas of expertise required to succeed bringing Brian’s ideas to fruition on my personal life. Regardless, I intend to pursuit this goal as far as my very limited intellectual resources can support.

I hope to learn from everyone here as much as possible and, with a lot of luck, to leave something of value in exchange, even if just minuscule by comparison.

Very honored to be part of the Multiplex Forum.
